Good evening, with your permission and my little experience I ask a question.
Stained with gentian violet I cut a stalk of gladiolus.
They left some blue dots and green edge, Could I explain what parts are these.
It's the first time I do this.
The photos that made HTC.
A greeting and thanks.

Good morning Francisco,
For a first start: very nice!
I am really not the right specialist ::) , but I want to start, just to give you a first idea. The specialists will for shure follow and correct me! ;)
First advice: cuts should be made allways rectangular, then the cut is easyer to understand. You have done a cut in an 45° angle - that is ok when you cut flowers for a bouquet for your wife :D
But I think we can see, that this is a monocotyledone plant because the vessels (1) for the transport of water are spotted all over the cross-section.
The green (2) color is chlorophyll in the parenchym under the epidermis.
For more details I think we should have a higher magnification. And with a trichrome staining (Etzold blue for example) the different types of tissue are easyer to determine.
A question what means HTC?
Thank you very much Klaus, with this explanation is right.
I am newbie not understand anything. ???
The piece of Gladiolus I found him in the street of a woman selling flowers.
But I'm studying hard and I have to translate the issues.
On the court, I have been fond of roses
I will upload photos and thanks for correcting me.
HTC is a mobile phone.
A greeting.
