Titel: Problem IM35
Beitrag von: Rene in Januar 14, 2016, 10:48:45 VORMITTAG
Hello all, on behalf of a friend of mine with a Zeiss inverted:

The image quality is good on the left side of view, but gradually decreases towards the right side. Very noticable with a 25x neofluar on test diatom G. balticum. Less noticable with the 63x oil, hard to see with the 10x achro.
Turning the objective does not make a difference, turning the binocular does not move the problem together with the binocular. Filament (led) nicely in the middle. So I suppose the problem must lay within the frame.

What should I do next??

Thanks,
René

(apologies for my use of english, replies in Deutsch welcome)

Hallo -
ist dieser Fehler auch auf dem Bild durch die Fotoeinrichtung (vorne, unten) zu sehen oder nur durch das Binokular (mit Fototubus?)?
Gruß
Rolf

Thanks Rolf,
Unfortunately, no camera attached, so only the observation through the binocular tube. Could try a Canon, is there a simple adapter ring from the Zeiss front port to Canon?

Best wishes, René

Hi Rene,

this sounds like a delamination somewhere in the gutts of the IM35 to me. Check the lens of the objective turret. Then try and check with a phase telescope, with which you may possibly be able to locate the problem. Just give us a feedback then.

Regards !
