Guten Abend zusammen,
diese Zellverbände (?), 2, 4 und 8fach, stammen aus einer Wasserprobe eines künstlichen Gartenteiches. Die Aufnahme entstand mit dem 40er Objektiv im Phasenkontrast. Der Abstand zwischen den Spitzen des Fadenkreuzes beträgt ungefähr 30 Mikrometer.
Was könnte das sein?

Could be Teilingia, they start from about 6um. But they do seem small! Not cyano with such clear chloroplasts.

danke fuer Eure Hinweise. Spontan hatte ich erst an Blaualge gedacht, aber eine die nicht im Streble/Krauter beschrieben ist. Die Gattung Teilingia ist dort auch nicht beschrieben. René, do you see Chloroplasts inside the cells?
Leider habe ich diese Art in meiner Probe bisher nicht wiederfinden können. Eine Frage der Zeit.

Well, I can't think of anything else, when looking at the strongly refracting structures in the cell. Certainly not blue-green algae. The two black dots on one of the lower cells are typical as well. Teilingia is a shot from the hip, there's nothing described this small. Brightfield images are prerequisite for a proper designation in any case. Hope you'll find it again.

I agree, René, brightfield images would have been better. I suffer from a severe bout of phasecontrast-fever, since the ph-devices just arrived a couple of weeks ago. My only excuse. I will submit the brightfield images as soon as I find again those algae, or whatever it is.

I would also think of a cyano with it's Merismopidia-like shape. But I don see any chloroplasts or a hint of them in those cells. Best regards,

From https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3091230 I gather it contains a single very large gas vesicle (vacuole), with the cell contents around it. That explains the atypical look for a prokaryote.
A new one on my wish list :-)
