Hello,
Im happy to start my journey here with this species.
Earlier this month, another member of this forum approached me and asked if I could assist him with his research on Teuthophrys, as I have a steady source of it near my home. I gladly joined this endeavour and went sampling.
Many Teuthophris collected, but the real surprise was in a benthic vial I took - 9 specimens (so far) of Legendrea  8)
Here is a quick look, Ill post a detailed video after completing my research on it.

Hello Ariel,
What a spectacular find!
You found more specimen of Legendrea in this single vial, than all findings done before, I've heard of.
And not to forget all the other great footage you recorded on your channel.
(In stunning quality). And I can only guess the effort of preparation It took.
Wow!
I'm looking forward for the whole dokumentary!
Best regards
Holger

Hello Ariel,

fantastic, what a wonderful and rare ciliate. Could you observe a food intake?

Best regards.

And one more question. You found it together with Teuthrophys and Paradileptus (Holger told me about it). Is there a dense population of rotifers (if so, which ones)?

Paradileptus was found in another location, also together with Teuthophrys. (Ariel please correkt me if I'm wrong).

Indeed, lots of, and copepods.
Im not a rotifer guy, but more than a dozen species.
The west bank got Botryvoccus bloom, and the east one Teachelomonas and Dinoflagellates.
