ich möchte ein Video über die aktive Nahrungsaufnahme des Rädertiers Collotheca zeigen. Der Prozess des Fangens und Verschluckens von Beute (in diesem Fall kleine grüne Flagellaten) ist immer faszinierend zu beobachten. Mir gefällt, wie der Rädertierchen die Beute in den Mastaxbereich zu schnippen scheint. Michael Müller hat den Fütterungsprozess bei Collotheca in einem früheren Beitrag in diesem Forum beschrieben (https://www.mikroskopie-forum.de/index.php?topic=39208.msg288573#msg288573).

ich werde mich auf die Beschreibung von Michael Plewka (https://www.plingfactory.de/Science/Atlas/KennkartenTiere/Rotifers/01RotEng/source/Collotheca%20ornata%20cornuta.html) beziehen: "If a potential prey (in this case two small euglenoid flagellates) swims actively into the trochus (and probably gets in contact with the sensory cilia), the animal contracts the trochus, the flagellates are pressed into the vestibulum and the membrane between trochus and vestibulum closes. The prey is pressed into the oesophagus and then transferred into the stomach by the trophi". Ich denke, die Kontraktion des Trochus ist der Schnipp.
