ich bekam vorige Woche eine mail von Herrn Ringel. Er konnte eine Diatomee welche ich im Jahr 2023 in einer Probe aus Dunkirk Maryland in folgendem Thread zeigte und die damals nicht bestimmt werden konnte, jetzt bestimmen.

Es handelt sich um Actinoptychus pellucidus Grunow beschrieben in Van Heurck 1883. Danke für die Bestimmung.
Ich habe mein Präparat von damals wieder rausgesucht und mit dem GF PLanachromaten HI100/1,25 am Jenaval nochmals aufgenommen. 1. Bild. Im gleichen Streu-Präparat sah ich noch eine Actinoptychus heliopelta 2. Bild und noch als Anhang zeige ich eine Kittonia elaborata 3. Bild die ich schon vor einiger Zeit aufgenommen hatte. Fundort Oamaru.

Thank you very much for your feedback on my short post and my photos. I took the first two photos (Dunkirk Maryland) using my Jenaval contrast microscope and a Fuji X-T20. They were created by stacking approximately 20 individual images. I had set the DIC on the microscope to a very dark setting, which I found particularly appealing in the photo of Actinoptychus heliopelta, as the diatom appeared glass-like (silicate). I'm interested in everything in nature and especially admire the beauty found in the small things; I'm constantly amazed by what evolution has brought about. When looking at Kittonia elaborata, I often ask myself what function these peculiar little feet served in this diatom?

vielen dank für euer Feedback. Es ist schon faszinierend was die Evolution so geschaffen hat. Beim ersten Bild mit dem 100er Objektiv sind ja die feinen Poren zu sehen. Es geht schon manchmal über die Vorstellungskraft hinaus, wie dies alles oft auch symetrisch entstanden ist.
