Diese Diatomeen kann ich,auch nach viel suchen ,nicht bestimmen.Es sind marine rezente Diatomeen aus Florida.

The last image: Actinocyclus normanii. The pseudonodule is visible at 4 o'clock.
The Cerataulus is a normal form for the North Sea as well. I've always designated it as C radiatus, but it seems I might be wrong there!

Cerataulus smithii(Ralfs),Cerataulus radiatus(Roper)Ross:
-'Marine Phytoplankton'(Kleine Senckenberg-Reihe 49)
C.smithii ist Synonim von C.radiatus,und weiter "Round et al(1990)suggest that this species C.radiatus and C.smithii
requires reinvestigations and may belong to a new genus")
-Auf 'Algae Base' werden sowohl C.smithii als C.radiatus bezeichnet als "Currently accepted taxonomically"
-Im 'Atlas of British Diatoms':C.radiatus(Roper)R.Ross (C.Smithii Ralfs in Pritchard).
Vorläufig werde ich die Diatome C.radiatus nennen.
Actinocyclus normanii(Gregory) Hustedt:
Ich sehe den Ocellus zwar nicht gut aber 'A.van der Werff' schreibt das dieser Ocellus nicht immer gut ausgebildet ist und manchmal sogar fehlt.

No problem Hartmut. This is what I thought, but then I came across the Smithsonian site http://www.sms.si.edu/irlspec/Cerata_smithi.htm (http://www.sms.si.edu/irlspec/Cerata_smithi.htm) (not the least in taxonomy) which mentioned:
The systematics, or classification, of C. smithii is confused, with the species often appearing in the scientific literature as Cerataulus radiatus.
Hmm. Might be a mistake and the other way round, but worth to check. I might have some time next year ;-)
Concerning Cerataulus taxonomy, it is tricky stuff in any case. The type (C turgidus) really is an Odontella. Not long ago we would have been naming it Biddulphia. ;D
