Hi guys

This is a sample mounted on a slide. It is from a collection of human tissues with pathologies. In this case is an inflammated lung. Magnification is 5x in FrTIR and Brightfield. WB 5000K.

According to the IA staining is presumed to be a standard haematoxylin-eosin-type preparation (purple nuclei, eosinophilic matrix). In the FrTIR image the "green stuff" is collagen and the shiny specks are Particulate deposits.

But if you ask me it looks like the Strait of Hormuz. Inflammated. Pun intended.
