Liebes Forum,
Gastrotricha found in a small puddle of putrid water, in an area of acidic waters. The video describes its main organs.

Hi Luis,
This is a really nice video, but unfortunately I can't read so quickly. I had to repeat or stop all the parts where you label 2 body parts at the same time. Maybe that's because English isn't my native language, but 2 seconds is very short to read on the one hand and look at these body parts on the other.
Best regards

Hi Luis,

many thanks for the impressive video and the description of the anatomies. These big gastrotrichs are always very compelling!

Just one remark: while showing the locomotive cilia, you point to the small spiked scales on the ventral side of the head. In fact the ciliary bands are the linear structures just outside these interciliary scales. These bands are "naked" (without any scales) and each cilium rises from a little basal body, which is clearly visible in your video.

Great video

Michael

Thank you for your kind comments!
Plaenerdd: I think your assessment is correct and I will take it into account in future videos.
Michael: Thank you for correcting my mistake about locomotive cilia. I really appreciate your contributions about Gastrotrica in this forum.
