Who can tell me what this is ?

Who can tell me what this is ? Maybe some kind of bacteria ?
I found it nearby a dead Daphnia.

Und zwar Stäbchen und vereinzelt Kokken wie man an der Form erkennen kann.

Ich nehme an, es handelt sich um Parasiten der Daphnia. Ich habe ähnliches bisher allerdindings nur bei Bosmina longirostris beobachtet. Vielleicht weiß Jost mehr.

Kannst du sagen bei welcher Vergrößerung du es aufgenommen hast beziehungsweise wie lang die "Dinger" sind?
An Parasiten habe ich garnicht gedacht, das ist auch eine gute Idee.

Thanks for the reactions. The Desmid Micrasterias thomasiana is about 250x200 µm.
There where hundreds of them and they where slowly moving.

Hast du die Möglichkeit die Zellen zu färben?
Dann könnte man besser differenzieren.

Not the same parasite, but it gives you an idea what to look out for in other Daphnia.

Jon hat schon den richtigen Hinweis gebracht. Wenn Du unter dem Begriff Cyclosporidium mal Bilder googelst, triffst Du auf eine Menge hinweise, auch hier aus dem Forum.

These pictures are from a while ago. The next time when I see
something like this I will try to make better pictures.
