Dear all,

I'm inquiring about how to control the motorized nosepiece turret of Axiovert 100M.
I've searched extensively online to find a way to operate the motorized nosepiece turret, but I haven't found a satisfactory answer.
The closest information I found was about using ZeissCAN29 and Micro-manager, but I'm still not confident.
There are very few posts about motorized Axiovert microscope on this forum, So I'm not sure where to ask for help.
I also found a brief mention of using RS232 between the MCU-28 ans PC to operate the MCU-28 and Axiovert 100M, but there are no detailed instructions.

I need help from the members, Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hi Changhee,

i am not familiar with your problem in a direct manner, means i did not have this microscope or that turret, but for some other devices i tried to use the Micro-Manager software package (version 2.0.0, july 2021).
Within the Hardware Configuration wizard (menu "devices"), you can find within the route ,,available devices" -> ,,ZeissCAN" -> ,,ZeissScope: Zeiss AxioVert 200m controlled through serial interface". And may be as you have seen on  https://micro-manager.org/ZeissCAN Serial Port settings, and at final of that document, details for cable configuration is given.

Good luck,
Michael

Dear Berilin,

Thank you for your comments.
I purchased a USB to RS232 adapter and was able to control the motor-driven objective lens through Micro-Manager.
I'm extracted RS232 communication information usging sirial monitor program and plan to use an Arduino board to add a switch for objective lens conversion.

I appreciate your advice.
