Hello all,

I am new to this forum and excuse me that I am writing in English but my German is not very good although I understand it.
Recently I have bought TAMI microscope. I am very happy with its imaging quality and I admire the sharp image in almost 100 years old instrument.

Where is the problem: I would like to clean and then relubricate the focusing thread because the focusing is a little bit stiff. The thread of the microscope basis is easy to reach. However, the thread on the objective is covered with the focusing ring part. Does anybody know how to uncover the thread on the objective body? Maybe it is easy, but I do not want to damage the microscope and therefore I am asking.

Furthermore, also both the collapsible tubes are not very easy to move. Is it possible to disassembly them and to clean or to change the seals (or felt?) around the tubes if there are any? Did someone from you this?

With many thanks for any help in advance,

Martin
