Hallo zusammen,
I present to the forum this video of Pseudopedriastum boryanum (probably of the boryanum variety). In the genus Pseudopediastrum the number of cells in the coenobium corresponds to powers of 2: 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128. I believe this is the first time that images of a complete specimen with 128 cells have been published.

As a curiosity, the specimens shown in the video were collected in the temporary puddles that form in the medieval anthropomorphic tombs located outside the romanesque church of San Juan. This church is located in the beautiful medieval town of Uncastillo (Zaragoza, Spain). I attach some images of the tombs and the town.
