Leitz K lens fur Kondensor

Hallo, can anyone shed some light on the place where I should insert a 'K' compensation lens in a series 600 condenser? Apparently I need a K3 for my Diavert, where could I find one?? Never seen them on offer!

Hallo René

These are lenses in a black tube; the tube just slides into the underside of the condenser. It then sits underneath the iris.

I do not remember having ever seen one sold separately. They don't look very sophisticated or valuable, so I suppose many have dissappeared over the years; getting separated from the condenser, people not knowing what they are. Mine does not even say "leitz wetzlar germany" or anything; just "K4".

Aha, there it is, thanks Raymond. I managed to pull it out with a toothpick. And it says: K4, damn. Anyone in for a swap with a K3??
