Handboek Hydrobiologie

The Dutch Foundation for Applied Water Research (STOWA) has published a handbook that will be standard practise for all hydrobiological monitoring agencies in the Netherlands, with the expectation that these protocols will eventually be reworked as NEN/CEN norm.

All aspects of monitoring are covered, safe laboratory practise, quality management, monitoring background, sampling methodology, analysis, equipment.  This work contains working protocols that are expected to be evolving in time. So it is worth to check the site some now and then for amendments.

Covered are (as separate chapters): Phytoplankton, Desmids, Diatoms, Zooplankton, Vegetation, Macrofauna and Fish.
